Reckoned by many to be the most beautiful woman in the world, yet virtually none outside Troy has seen her since her teens. Locked up in the virtual prison that is the besieged city, she agonizes over the war fought in her name, and resents her role as a prize rather than a loved one to Paris. Initially no stranger to initiative or even adventure, her stay in Troy has kept that side of her personality well chained.
   Whether her vivid dreams are evidence of a budding prophetic ability, or of an imminent stress-induced collapse, is uncertain.
