Turangi Raider COURT OF ALTI
WHERE: South-eastern Turangi, very loose borders
CULTURE: Turangi
ORGANIZATION: Empire
FORMAL RULER:
Destroyer-s4: Alti
s5: Rapid disintegration
s6-ss7: Gone

POLITICS: The Black Shamaness is the absolute autocrat of this conglomerate of terrorized tribes. She never accepts advice from others and doesn't normaly reward faithful servants with anything else than free plunder. Because of this, there is very little proper intrigue among her generals. That said, the various groups under her command retain their ethnic pride and have little love for each other.
Her primary goal is about spiritual power, and her empire-building is only a tool for that. It helps her to get a steady stream of human sacrifice, access to places of power, and warriors to help subjugating more tribes. She stays clear of Chin - not so much for its gigantic armies, but for fear of Lao Ma. But the whole of Turangi is fair game.
DON’T: Go there. Seriously.
FIGHTING: As much as you want. Alti couldn't care less for the discipline in her camps.
NOTED DANGERS: Evil spirits, everyone else really.

Armies of Alti
   The Pohjola tribe under Kullervo.
   Yukagir's clan.
The Sarmatians under Amage (fighter-10, sorcerer-6)
   Various castaways under Drufion.

Evil Spirits
Alti sometimes uses spirits as assassins, spies, and shock troops. Not all these spirits are evil; indeed, some are good and in terrible pain over what she forces them to do. But the moral dilemma of a spirit is not the first thing that springs to most people's minds when it tries to fry your brain.
This is a list of "evil spirits" from various official sources (and this site):
